Proposal Information
Description:
This internship will be based at Hither Hills State Park in Montauk NY. Duties will include but not be limited to assisting with NYS Parks Piping Plover protection program. Monitoring complex beaches for piping plovers, installing string fencing, snow fencing, and signage to warn patrons of restricted access areas. Intern will also assist with program planning and implementation for all age groups from children to adults. Ex. Nature programs, beach cleanups, staffing nature center at Hither Hills State Park.
