The New York State Office of Mental Health's (OMH) State Operations
Budget and Financial Management Group (SOB&FMG) is seeking a student
assistant to provide support for its SFS, Facility Fiscal/Budgetary Internal
Controls Compliance and Administrative Support Procedures Section (SBICC-
ASPM). This will include work on the Sharepoint Portal, work within the
Statewide Financial System (SFS), assisting with Internal Control testing, and the
development of Administrative Support Procedures.

The SBICC-ASPM section is responsible for overseeing/monitoring the budgetary/financial and business practices of OMH facilities and improving the OMH facility fiscal-related internal controls compliance. This includes the development and implementation of standardized administrative support procedures that comprehensively address and support OMH facility financial operations and business practices.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting in the development and maintenance of administrative support procedures for facility business office staff and facility budget staff;
* Assisting in the testing/compliance of facility internal controls (as they relate to budgetary/fiscal practices);
* Provide support in reconciliation process of the Patient Cash System conversion;
* Prepare, design, and organize visual data dashboards;
* Run reports and appropriate analysis;
* SFS Chart of Accounts management
