Description:
This intern will be responsible for running Statewide Financial System (SFS) reports to create a multi-year spending history spreadsheet for the agency's major funds and spending categories. Once this project is complete, the intern will then create a projections template used to import SFS General Ledger reports and project the current fiscal year and actuals. This will be used to compare the projections with historical spending.
The intern will be responsible for creating a tracking document for each FTE position's funding source, location, etc. and creating tables that illustrate information for management.
OVS Administration and Finance staff work on a myriad of tasks, in multiple systems. We have a host of unofficial guides and how-to documents that present an opportunity for an organized and driven individual to turn these documents and sources into official Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). As an agency that has grown significantly in recent years, there is room for fresh ideas and for the organization. The right candidate could have a big impact on agency operations in this regard and would be exposed to a host of processes that touch every function of the agency.
