Proposal Information

Description:

OPWDD provides services directly and through a network of approximately 650 nonprofit service providing agencies, with about 80 percent of services provided by the private nonprofits and 20 percent provided by state-run services. These services support nearly 140,000 New Yorkers with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, Prader-Willi syndrome and other neurological impairments.The student intern Project Coordinator will be expected to function as part of a leadership team, contributing to the development, administration and evaluation of programs and policies. He or she will also be expected to operate independently, conducting research; gathering and analyzing data; and developing written and oral presentations to communicate findings. The student intern will develop Deliverables, including: research and data analysis; evidence-based methodologies; an operating plan; and, an evaluation of the program.
