Proposal Information

Description:

The Division of Policy and Program Development, Managed Care and Program Management units are interested in two Student Assistants to assist in the policy and program development of the OPWDD's emerging managed care program for individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and support for the unit's emerging health care initiatives (including OPWDD's specialized managed care plan - SIP-PL program development, both in the development of policy as well as the outreach and communication of the program to stakeholders. Responsibilities will also include assisting with sister agency coordination regarding the design and development of evaluation methods to measure program outcomes and effectiveness.
As the intern will assist with numerous policy related program development and operational initiatives within the units, he/she will be expected to provide high level support to the development and early implementation of the specialized managed care plans being developed. This includes policy analysis, information management, project management, and meeting coordination (including preparing meeting agendas and meeting summaries and tracking follow up). The intern will also support the unit's work through providing assistance with the development of written policies and procedures, developing communication materials and Power Point presentations, analyzing public comment responses, and other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
