Proposal Information
Description:
The Office of Electric, Gas & Water consists of sections that perform technical work related to the provision of safe and reliable utility service at just and reasonable rates. The intern would work in the Electric Distribution Systems section supporting efforts related to utility operations, research, and emergency response preparation. Duties will include but is not limited to field inspections of utility structures and construction, investigating safety complaints, attending utility emergency drills, reviewing proposals for demonstration of new technologies, researching other states' practices on various topics, such as distributed energy resources and emergency response. The assistant will also participate in training opportunities at the utilities and in the Department.
