Description:
Looking for intelligent, quick-thinking and poised individuals to assist us in Division of Planning, Development & Community Infrastructure (OPD&CI) tasks. The Division is in need of someone to support outreach and social media activities.
Duties include: propose strategies for enhancing social media reach and visibility; build content (photos, social media posts, quotes, etc.) for use by the DOS Public Information Office; prepare engaging social media content; write press releases; develop strategy for developing an internal newsletter and/or website; assist in events and off-site presentations that will require additional hands; visit communities we work in and tell their story via Photo blogging images and interviews; research and compile an e-newsletter to disseminate funding opportunities, news articles and policy updates related to redevelopment of brownfields to BOA stakeholders; create/finalize one-page briefs outlining program overview and objectives; draft stories for the Gateway focus areas to publicize on-going programs and initiatives; create a user's guide for applicants for filling out the Federal Consistency Assessment Form (FCAF) with policy analysis examples for generic projects; upgrade .PDF documents to make them navigable and user friendly; and assist administrative staff with office operations, such as records management, reporting, filing, etc.
You will develop relationships with DOS staff, local government officials and other agency personnel, learn about local government/state relations, and come away with a better understanding of State operations.
