Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the guidance of the AVP of Human Resources and in coordination with ESD's Diversity and Diversity Implementation teams, assist in designing and implementing diversity and inclusion projects and programs. This includes researching best practices for program design and implementation.
WORK PERFORMED:
* Identify relevant seminars, webinars, or related materials for educating staff on diversity-related topics
* Perform outreach to colleges and universities with a goal of finding recruitment opportunities to attract a diverse pool of candidates
* Collaborate across departments to establish and strengthen mentorship programs aimed at retaining a diverse and talented workforce
* Collaborate with ESD Diversity Committee and Implementation Committee as needed to advance diversity-related initiatives
* As needed, create online diversity and inclusion surveys
* Prepare materials for mentoring and other programming
* Create program documentation including procedural manuals
* Other duties as assigned.
