Proposal Information

Description:

The Division needs someone to develop, organize and realize a modern records management system. We're looking for motivated thinkers, strong collaborators, and confident doers who share our values and are committed to assisting us improve our paper and electronic information systems. We want people who can bring us new ideas about how to use electronic filing systems.
If you are planning a career as an information science specialist in industry or government, this internship will be an opportunity to complete an on-site project for your portfolio and show us how we can best organize specific collections of information for reference and retrieval to serve local governments statewide.
You will develop relationships with DOS staff, local government officials and other agency personnel, learn about local government/state relations, and come away with a better understanding of State operations, the complexity of community engagement, technical assistance, and development of shared services. We believe exposure to different types of work and programs leads to a more skilled, well-rounded employee ready for change.
