Description:

The Office of the Chief Data Officer is looking for an enthusiastic college student who is interested in data science, advanced analytics, data management, and strategic planning. Illustrative duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Work closely with the Open Data NY Team to review, manage and publish data for public use

* With the Team, develop the state's data strategy

* Analyze and visualize data for decision making using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI

* Work in a team environment where you'll collaborate with others and continue to develop skills in areas such as strategic planning, data management, data visualization, data science, analytics and project management

* Work with a team to develop measures and metrics in support of the agency strategic plan.

* Create data visualizations that show results and progress against the goals of the strategic plan

* Bring new ideas and fresh perspective to the team
