Proposal Information

Description:

The intern will work as part of the Data and Analytics team that provides Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for the Department of Public Services. The intern will be involved in the following types of work:

Data Integration / Business Intelligence
1. Participate in Requirement Gathering sessions and Joint Application Sessions (JAD) with end-users
2. Analysis and Data Profiling of source system data
3. Design proposed Dimensional Modeling tables and BI solutions
4. Program Data Integration solutions that Extract data from source systems, Transform or cleans the data, and Load the data into the Data Warehouse (ETL).
5. Build Reports, Data Analytics, Visualizations, and Dashboards
6. Perform Quality Assurance of data and solutions
7. Document solutions using Microsoft office tools
8. Generate Ad-hoc Report including SQL development
9. Performance Tuning, Upgrades, and Maintenance of Application Servers

Data Management
1. Maintain logical and physical data models based on requests and project requirements.
2. Execute data manipulation requests (DML).
3. Develop data integration solutions using PL/SQL and T-SQL.


Typical Hours and days of operation: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM
