Description:
Identify, count, measure, and weigh fish and invertebrates in the field and laboratory. Tag striped bass. Collect and age scale samples. Enter and proof data in Access databases. Assist other programs as needed. Some weekend work may be required.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work long hours on boats; excellent skills in identification of Long Island marine organisms; team player; ability to follow detailed, technical instructions; interest and college coursework in biology or marine/environmental/natural sciences.
