Proposal Information

Description:

The student assistant assigned to the Workers' Compensation Boards' Policy & Research Bureau will conduct research of policy and operational issues within the NYS Workers' Compensation Board. The student assistant will perform data cleansing and conformance so that correlations and trends may be identified and analyzed. The student assistant will also assist with the design of statistical models to explain and predict outcomes. Each student assistant is expected to work 10-19 hours a week and during the school year and 20-29 hours during the summer, typically between 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Data manipulation using spreadsheets

Writing explanatory reports
