Description:
PFA / 1,4 Dioxane study. The intern will assist in the compilation and analysis of the presence and concentration PFAs and 1,4 dioxane in leachate and groundwater associated with both active and inactive landfills. Inactive Landfill Project.
The intern will assist in the Division's Inactive Landfill initiative. The intern will be directed by staff to identify, locate and compile data on inactive landfills using the Division landfill files and internet searches. This work will include limited field work as the identified landfills will often require field verification. These data would then be transferred to the Division's Solid Waste Information Management System.
