Description:
As an intern at this placement, a student may observe and/or participate in the legal work performed by the office. This may include some, but not necessarily all, of the following activities:
- conduct research and write memoranda, briefs, letters, pamphlets, etc.
- accompany attorneys on visits to juvenile facilities and/or agency proceedings
- speak with youth in state facilities regarding their legal rights and any complaints or concerns they may have regarding
their placements
- notify responsible parties in an attempt to resolve youth concerns
