Proposal Information

Description:

Under the direction of Senior Application Developers, the Application Development Interns will reside within the Behavioral Health IT Portfolio and will work on tasks/activities designed to expand on and apply what they've learned to real-world application development scenarios.

Some of the activities include:
* Creation and maintenance of C# .NET programs which interface with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
* Writing SQL to create and maintain database packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
* Writing SQL and PL/SQL to analyze data, fulfill ad-hoc and scheduled data extract requests.

Additionally, the Application Development Interns will actively work on application development projects, assisting other application development staff with ongoing activities including, but not be limited to:

* Creation and maintenance of functional and technical documentation based on industry standards.
* Peer code reviews.
* Creation of accurate time estimates for the completion of technical documentation, code writing, code reviews, unit test creation and execution tasks.
* Assisting with system integration, load and performance test planning, testing and validation efforts.
* Debugging, troubleshooting and remediating application break/fix issues as needed.
* Any other tasks assigned by management.

The Application Development Interns will gain hands-on experience, and become familiar with the skills necessary to become a successful Application Developer, based on standard application development patterns and frameworks.

 

Skills:

Write quality C# .Net application code

Write quality Oracle and/or SQL code

Create and execute test plans

Work independently and in a team
