Description:

The ITS Department of Motor Vehicles Business Solutions is interested in employing an energetic, highly driven, and skilled student intern in the role of junior Application Developer. The employee would work in conjunction with developers in DMV Ticketing Applications.

The Application Developer Intern will work with a variety of technologies, including Mainframe and Distributed environments. The selected individual needs to be able to work well in a team environment, collaborate positively with others using tact, patience, and respect; be very organized, responsive to requests, able to multitask and shift priorities based on management and support needs.

The Application Developer Intern's duties include, but are not limited to:
* Coding application solutions to effectively meet customer needs based on a written set of requirements.
Coding will be done in COBOL, Powerbuilder, Coldfusion, .NET/C#
* Create and maintain application and program documentation
* Create and maintain application test scripts
* Perform unit and integrated application testing based on test scripts
* Support UAT testing of application changes
* Implementation of application changes in accordance with NYS ITS standards, guidelines, and best practices
* Maintain effective communication with supervisor on all assigned tasks seeking clarity on requirements and solutions for issues as needed
* Completion of assigned administrative activities within required timeframes
