Description:
Under supervision of the Assistant Deputy Superintendent, the student's education will be collaborated through a DOCCS multidisciplinary team which includes; the Office of Mental Health, Community Supervision, Security, Program, Medical, Business and Administration. Interns will assist staff with Initial Inmate Assessments, Orientation, Casework Counseling, Psychoeducational Treatment and Community Supervision Assessments and Preparation. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to work with the Inmate Records Department, where they will learn the important fundamentals of Inmate Placement, Classification and Security Guidelines. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in team/department meetings and Specialized Trainings.
