Proposal Information

Description:

Under the direction of the IES Functional Lead, the Student Assistant will assist with documenting and updating business requirements and process models, doing policy research, and assisting with updates to program documentation. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

Liaise with stakeholders to define functional, non-functional, and technical specifications, and resolve issues before implementation;

Work directly with and serve as the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams;

Collecting, documenting, mapping, and analyzing business process and system dependencies;

Assist with reviewing vendor developed deliverables and communicate feedback to approvers;

Assist with quality assurance and support testing of new functionality;

Gather, synthesize, and document business requirements;

Special projects as assigned by Functional Lead and project team.

The incumbent will report to the Integrated Eligibility Office at 40 North Pearl Street, Albany, NY 12207. The position is on a part-time basis, 30 hours per week. The schedule will be Monday-Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

 

Skills:

Knowledge of NYS/NYC Government

Excellent verbal and written comm. skill

Microsoft Office, MS Project and Visio

Knowledge - Health & Hum Svcs programs

Able to interact w/diverse stakeholders
