Proposal Information

Description:

Opportunity to work with Division of Marine Resources staff who are collecting field data on water quality and fish distributions in eastern Jamaica Bay. The intern will assist with boat-based water chemistry analyses and fish surveys, assist with data extraction, validation/calibration, and visualization of chemical measurements and sidescan sonar output. Regular field days once every 1-2 weeks. All field work will be conducted off a 12' inflatable boat with an outboard motor.

Data processing in Excel

lifting requirement up to 40 pounds

Valid Driver's license

Open source programming languages

follow detailed technical instructions
