Description:

Basic Function:

Support and assist the New York Ventures team that is responsible for the New York Innovation Direct Venture Capital Fund and the Innovate NY Fund of Funds. These Funds invest in innovative NYS start-ups, and are designed to help build the entrepreneurial eco-system in New York State, with an emphasis on Upstate and Western New York companies. The team is based in New York City and Albany, NY.

Work Performed:

Prior to making an investment recommendation, the NY Ventures team needs to conduct an intensive due diligence process.

Tasks to include:
* Research into competitive landscape for contemplated investments
* Compilation of industry data around underserved markets
* Analysis of market trends and opportunities in the entrepreneurial eco-system
* Ability to understand financial statements and construct basic financial modeling is
required.

There will be the opportunity to network with entrepreneurs and other members of the NYS start-up world.
