Description:
The reporting location is the Taconic Regional Office in Staatsburg, NY. Intern will work within the Technical Services Group under the direction of the Historic Sites Restoration Coordinator and Senior Architect. Intern must have valid driver's license to visit Park and Historic Sites located in Dutchess, Columbia, Putnam and Westchester Counties. Intern will make field visits to various historic buildings within state parks and state historic sites in the region to gather information, photograph and obtain field dimensions. The intern will document historic buildings by producing drawings and reports in accordance with Historic American Building Survey (HABS) standards. Intern is expected to work with limited direction and supervision using computer software commonly used in the field of architecture. Typical hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm.
