Proposal Information

Description:

Under the direction on the Communications Manager, the Communications Intern will reside within the Chief Public Information Office and will work on projects that help drive the Office of Information Technology Service's (ITS) internal and external communication and marketing strategy, and help improve the identity and brand of ITS. This includes a variety of activities including, but not be limited to:
* Event Planning activities for both internal and external events;
* Arranging internal meetings, including securing meeting space, sending out invitations, monitoring attendance, event logistics and set up, and event follow up;
* Coordinating external events, including working with event partners and communicating opportunities with ITS employees;
* Monitoring event approval request forms for ITS employees seeking to speak or present at external events.
* Creating communications and marketing materials such as newsletters and brochures;
* Writing content for a variety of communication channels, including print and online;
* Creating PowerPoint presentations and scripts;
* Updating websites and messages for social media sites.

 

Skills:

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

Experience providing editorial support

Fast-paced work under tight deadlines

Experience developing written materials

Excellent written & oral skills
