Proposal Information

Description:

The NYS Department of Transportation is looking to fill Engineering Intern positions statewide. Duties will vary from position to position, based on the assignment. Interns may work in one of a variety of program areas under the direct supervision of a NYSDOT Professional Engineer, Senior Landscape Architect, Senior Land Surveyor, or Environmental Specialist.

Internships are full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Daily schedule dependent on the position.

Candidates must be currently enrolled in one of the following accredited degree programs, and have already completed one full time semester (at least 12 credit hours): Civil Engineering; Civil Engineering Technology; Construction Engineering; Construction Engineering Technology; Construction Management Engineering Technology; Geotechnical Engineering; Hydraulics Engineering; Materials Engineering; Materials Science and Engineering; Metallurgical and Materials Engineering; Structural Engineering; Transportation Engineering; or Transportation Planning and Engineering.

Candidates must also be currently enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) for the upcoming fall 2018 semester.
