Proposal Information

Description:

* Assist in the creation of tools and protocols to track the availability of children's behavioral health services
* Develop maps and presentations to demonstrate the MCO network adequacy of services to children on a regional basis
* Become familiar with children's mental health service delivery, managed care oversight and network design
* Update drive-time analyses to behavioral health providers across the state
* present on the above topics to MCOs, providers, and the behavioral health community
Student will utilize knowledge of the Medicaid system, and how Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) administer the benefit in NYS. This position will expose the student to network mapping in ArcGIS and Tableau. Experience in mapping using ArcGIS and data management is required.

This project will run for the summer semester, with the option to extend into the next school year. Hours can be flexible to the student's schedule between 8am - 5pm.
