Description:
The Volunteer Services Office is interested and willing to work with a volunteer college intern. We have provided the following information as for what we are looking for:
1. Event Planning- learning how to creatively plan events in a correctional environment.
2. Quality Control - make sure volunteers are up to date and that files are complete.
3. Programming - review current programs, schedules and offerings to make sure that the current need is met and
that programs do not overlap.
4. Active Liaison - creating opportunity and communication between facility staff and volunteers.
5. Monitoring and tracking of volunteers
6. Screen Volunteer Applicants - learning and understanding the importance of a background check
