Description:
The intern will work with the Bureau of Pest Management's Outreach and Web committees in order to promote the Pest Management Program's objectives. Tasks may include drafting GovDelivery publications, updating program brochures, publicizing pollinator protection, publishing updates on the LI Strategy via newsletter and videotaping program objectives for training and social media promotion. The intern will work on coordinating and promoting outreach and educational events for the community and industry alike. Examples of projects may include: Tick Awareness Forums, NYS Fair and Empire Farm Days, Pollinator Protection Promotions, Regulatory Outreach. **Must work with in the policies and regulatory framework put forth by the NYSDEC Bureau of Pest Management.
Candidate should have knowledge on the environmental sciences specifically horticulture, entomology, pesticides and public health.
