Description:
The NYS Department of Financial Services is seeking applicants to fill 2 unpaid internships in our IT Department in Albany, NY. The interns will, alongside our Systems and development teams, participate in projects of various size, scope and complexity. Candidates should have basic understanding of programming and analytics.
Duties: Work directly with the team and project leads while gaining insight into system design and business development processes
Develop diagramming and programming skills
Participate in team meetings and development discussions
Gain access to agency training sessions and expand industry knowledge
Skills:
Strong interest in process flow and data
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to think conceptually
Ability to recognize/understand issues
