Mid-Hudson Forensic serves approximately 285 men and women who have mental health concerns as well as criminal justice involvement in a hospital setting. We are a state operated facility, located in New Hampton, NY, near Middletown and Goshen, in Orange County.
We are currently seeking student interns to work in our Therapeutic Treatment Mall. Our programs are offered to forensic mental health patients mornings, afternoons and evenings, seven days a week. We have a unique and dynamic clinical program which provides student interns spectacular and comprehensive learning opportunities. We offer our own Grand Rounds, as well as Office of Mental Health grand rounds, and specialized training from the department of Psychiatry at Columbia University.
We currently have students from local programs in Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational therapy and Recreation therapy at Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center. At this time, we are offering additional opportunities for Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Licensed Mental Health counselor programs and Rehabilitation Therapy programs.
