Description:

The incumbent of this request will be part of the ITS Communication Infrastructure and Operation Services team that provides Network LAN services to the Environment and Energy Cluster.

Duties include but not limited to:

* Perform network tasks for ITS and State agency project initiatives
* Collect required information for new installations or modifications to existing configurations
* Install, configure, and customize network software and ensure configurations meet the agencies requirements
* Performs maintenance on all hardware and software relating to switches, routers, and network attached devices
* Reviews, installs, and configures routers, switches, and associated network-attached hardware
* Documents all modifications and changes to the network infrastructure
* Analyze customer requests for network services and design and implement appropriate solutions
* Develop and execute test plans for new technology options to determine suitability for use

Skills:

Experience with Cisco switches & routers

TCP/IP

routing protocols

LAN, VPN, and Wireless (WLAN) concepts
