Description:
BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist the IT Department with various computer-related and support services for Empire State Development.
WORK PERFORMED:
* Help Desk telephone coverage; response to service calls in a timely fashion; and over the phone resolution when applicable.
* Recording and dissemination of work orders to IT Help Desk staff.
* Assist with equipment set-up for internal conferences.
* Assist with establishing connection for video teleconferencing sessions and webinars.
* Assist in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support of computer hardware and software.
* Assist in the packaging and delivery of computer and computer-related equipment.
* Assist in inventory recording and asset scanning into the inventory database.
* Performs such other tasks and functions as required by supervisor and IT management to service the information processing needs of the end-user community.
This is a customer service oriented position requiring the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems under pressure, in a timely and courteous manner.
Skills:
Office 2010, Office 2016 helpful
Windows 7, Windows 10 helpful
Good telephone etiquette is necessary
Excellent interpersonal skills
Willingness to work in team environment
