Proposal Information

Description:

The Department of Labor is seeking 2 interns who are studying in the areas of Actuarial and Mathematical Sciences, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, or Public Policy to assist on multiple assignments supporting the goals and mission of the Rapid Response and Business Services Units.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, adaptability and be willing to occasionally travel (local). Professional dress is a must.
The Rapid Response Unit provides direction and oversight to 10 regions of field staff in service to contracting businesses and affected workers.
The Business Services Unit provides direction and oversight to 10 regions of field staff in promotion and usage of available business services to the business community. In addition, staff develops events, monitors program participation, staff activities and assists with many of the Governor's initiatives.
Must have completed at least 60 credit hours, be in good academic standing, and be a continuing student (enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for the upcoming Fall 2017 semester).
