Proposal Information

Description:

This internship is located in the Division of Family Health / Bureau of Women, Infant and Adolescent Health / Adolescent Health. The intern will be assigned to a project that will help advance the priorities and strategies in the Division's Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant Action Plan; focusing primarily on the Social-Emotional Wellness in Children and Adolescents domain of the action plan. The goal is to develop recommendations for accomplishing the Title V goals and objectives associated with this domain. The student will develop a thorough knowledge of this domain, the Title V Action Plan and the MCH Outcome & Performance Measures to be addressed through this project. The student will work directly with the Social-Emotional Wellness group which is tasked with reviewing the literature, identifying gaps and needs, and making recommendations to address this domain. The student will identify evidence-based and promising strategies that promote social-emotional development and relationships; and present information / recommendations to the Division of Family Health leadership.
