Description:
The Community Forensics intern will work with OMH staff in Community Forensics that impact persons with serious mental illness who are involved in the criminal justice system. Interns will assist with data collection, program monitoring and program implementation. On a daily basis, the intern would assist staff in monitoring activities such as utilization of forensic mental health housing, and obtaining clinical information and updates on existing housing beds. Work with Police Mental Health & Suicide Prevention trainings, Jail Mental Health data collection, surveys of existing services and development of performance indicators and monitoring. Hours may increase to 25/week during semester and summer breaks.
