Description:
The Office of General Services (OGS) is an agency of approximately 1,700 employees covering a broad spectrum of job responsibilities, educational and work backgrounds, and geographic locations. Among our employees are: administrative, information technology, and real estate professionals; office assistants; facility operation aides and assistants; parking services attendants; public building managers; visitor services assistants; offset print machine operators; janitors; mechanical, structural and construction engineers; architects; skilled trades professionals (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc.); general mechanics; plant utilities helpers, assistants and engineers; and contract management specialists. The Workforce Development intern will work on expanding and improving on the agency's Employee Engagement initiatives. This includes working on the employee recognition program, the agency orientation and on-boarding programs, conducting focus groups with new employees, and other aspects of employee engagement and organizational development.
