Proposal Information

Description:

Working with the Land Manager, Interns will be working on several projects to assist in the management of information and files associated with managing public use on Forest Preserve Lands.

This internship will involve organizing and preparing various forms of Data and Files to help improve the accuracy of information and efficiency of data management for Forest Preserve Land Units. Work will include:
* Developing a model for receiving, organizing and tabulating data on public use. This model will be used to help streamline the methods to capture public use numbers.
* Updating Geographic Information System data used for the Forest Preserve.
* Developing and implementing a method to convert historical files to a digital medium that will be merged with existing digital mediums to create consolidated reports on Trails, Campsites, Lean-tos and other facilities on the Forest Preserve.
