Description:
1) Assist with providing various aspects of desktop support including:
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to create PC images
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to install new and refurbished PC equipment, printers and PDA type devices (Blackberry, Palm Pilots, Pocket PCs)
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to create user accounts, group permissions and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) account creation
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to install and set up PDA type devices
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to maintain various software application suites (Microsoft Office, Visio and Windows XP)
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to perform equipment data collection needed for new installations or modifications to existing configurations
- Learn how to use diagnostic software to ensure that equipment operates properly and takes appropriate corrective action when required
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to monitor end user requests through an IT Service Now System
2) Learn how to perform the disposition of aged computer equipment (Surplus Property) while assisting supervisors:
- Learn how to assess and determine the value of PC equipment for future use
- Learn how to perform all aspects of the surplus process for PC disposal
3) Data Center Connectivity:
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to install, test and verfiy all LDAP connections from the PC to the mainframe
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to establish Citrix connections from the mainframe clients to the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) network
- Assist supervisor, while learning how to install, test and verify all printer connections on the mainframe network to the ITS Network
Hours of operation are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
