Description:
DEC's Press Office conducts various activities that promote public awareness and information on the operations of DEC. This outreach helps promote citizen engagement in agency decisions and assists in the promotion of agency recreational resources. The Press Office prepares responses to inquiries and questions from the press on various issues. An intern in the Press Office will assist in the development of communication products to promote DEC programs. Work will entail considerable research to provide background on issues.
Ideal candidate will have interest and coursework in communications, environmental science, or environmental policy.
