Description:

The Office of Electric, Gas & Water consists of sections that perform technical work related to electric rates and tariffs; electric distribution systems; bulk electric systems; electric, gas and water policy coordination; gas rates and tariffs; gas policy and supply; water company regulation; and electric, gas and steam safety. The intern would primarily work in the gas policy and supply area assisting with statistical analyses and reporting of natural gas supply flow and pricing from North American Supply Basins to NYS Markets. Studies may include Natural Gas prices and basis differentials between flow points, volatility analysis of prices and liquidity analysis of gas flows from supply hubs versus stated design pipeline capacity. An intern is sought to help convert databases from "Excel" spreadsheets to Microsoft "Access" database formats including the creation of standard reporting documents, along with additional assignments as needed.
