Description:
Research existing Covered Electronic Equipment (CEE) Manufacturer's Acceptance Programs for compliance with NYS's Electronic Equipment Recycling & Reuse Act, including review of annual reports and required webpage information. Also provide research to identify new CEE manufacturers and associated branded products potentially required to participate in the NYS program. Assist with verification of annual reporting data and potential involvement with compliance and enforcement actions. May participate in one or two facility inspections. Intern may also be involved with tasks associated with the state's Rechargeable Battery Act and Mercury Thermostat Law. The candidate will obtain exposure to Product Stewardship concepts and NYS's laws.
Candidate should have basic understanding of Product Stewardship and Extended Producer Responsibility.
