Proposal Information

Description:

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's Office is seeking student interns for the Communications and Press Department in the Governor's New York City office. All positions are unpaid.
Interns will be expected to contribute to press releases, coordinate with statewide news outlets, and provide creative input to the press process. Interns will also have the opportunity to help develop local communications strategy. Other responsibilities include contacting the media, news monitoring, and various research projects.
This is a high intensity job which will require hard work and offer significant responsibilities. Interns will be expected to become an active part of the Communications and Press team.
To be considered for an internship, students must be:
* available to work at least three full days (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) each week;
* currently enrolled as a junior or senior undergraduate, graduate/law student, or recent graduate; and must hold a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Strong writing and time management skills are necessary. Familiarity with New York State government is a plus.
