Description:
As a legal intern you will be assigned to our Administrative Review Division. Requires a one-year commitment starting in May. Incumbent would be full time (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm) during the summer and 15-20 hours per week during the school year. Incumbent to be trained by a staff attorney on how to review files and analyze issues on cases where an administrative review is requested, and how to draft proposed Memoranda of Decisions (MODs) on these cases for submission to a panel of Board members. By July, it is anticipated incumbent could produce 1 MOD per week. Direct assignments will be given by a team leader. It is anticipated the incumbent could be used to supplement the staff attorneys and substitute for attorneys on vacation, and produce 3-5 MODs per week.
