Proposal Information

Description:

Weekend/holiday programs and events. Intern will greet and introduce people to scheduled outdoor events, and generally help visitors new to NYS lands to have a safe, fun and easy outdoor experience as well as expand the public's knowledge about State Lands and its resources. Interns may guide a hike, answer questions about a paddling trip or open a fishing clinic.

Candidate should have interest and coursework in conservation, biology, environmental science, and/or environmental policy. Will be required to walk and talk about nature and natural resources in plain language and easy to use terms.
Must be enthusiastic, like outdoor activities and have a desire to show others how to have fun on state lands safely. Intern must be available weekends and holidays.
