Description:
Emergency Transportation Operations Support Analyst
Support the Department's operational readiness and situational awareness by performing a variety of functions and support services that assist in ensuring the advancement of the State's Emergency Transportation Operations (ETO) and Traffic Incident Management (TIM) program operations strategies, deployment and integration.
DUTIES:
Receive, screen, review and verify documents
Prepare and /or issue documents and/or verify the validly of documents
Assist with coordination of training sessions, such as scheduling, tracking progress, etc
Prepare tables, maps, charts, and reports & compile relevant material and manuals
Administers communications by preparing, editing as well as keeping track of correspondence, documents, answering questions from staff, the public, and elected and appointed officials.
Assists in the preparation, review, evaluation, and analysis of variety of reports
Draft preliminary action plans
Organize, expedite, follow up on and researching background information
Search for, review, evaluate and/or compile pertinent information and data
Process and consolidate information received from multiple sources into clearly written situation reports
Maintain records and documentation as directed to support the overall ETO operations
Update & maintain the Statewide ETO Strategic Plan & TIM Strategic Plan
Provide data for documenting performance measures and progress
Ensure the Statewide Transportation Information and Coordination Center's (STICC) readiness as a coordination center for emergencies
Assess current ETO & TIM situations and needs
Develop and perform ETO & TIM training
Support the TIM Steering Committee
Support the development of continuous improvement processes through performance measures and self assessments
Facilitate coordination between other state agencies and partners regarding incidents and emergencies.
Conducts studies to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of ETO procedures and recommends revisions
Prepares procedures to describe, revise, and improve ETO response preparation activities
Evaluates proposed policies and management proposals and prepares written analysis and recommendations describing impact and potential benefits and problems.
Represents executive and management staff at meetings, conferences and on committees Compiles data and prepares reports and recommendations about ETO concerns
Prepares speeches and supporting material for ETO
Prepares ETO written materials, including brochures, reports, and other material
Clarifies and interprets policies and procedures and assures policies and procedures are available for and sent to affected individuals and program
