Description:

The Enterprise Risk Management Bureau coordinates the Department's risk management and internal control programs. These programs include risk assessments, internal control reviews, and the Department's Official Issuance System which includes the Manual of Administrative Procedures (MAPs), Official Orders, Designation Memoranda, and Organization Charts. The Bureau also prepares the Department's annual Internal Control Certifications.

The intern will assist with the development of the Department's fraud risk assessment program. The activities will include, but not be limited to, assisting in the development of a fraud risk assessment framework based on the U.S. Government Accountability Office's "Framework for Managing Fraud Risks in Federal Programs" and COSO's Internal Control-Integrated Framework 2013 requirements; program templates and tools; monitoring methods and reports, and guidance and outreach material for NYSDOT staff.
