Description:
This intern will develop an enhanced annual report of division activities from existing reports, documentations and photographs. Previous annual reports are posted at: www.dec.ny.gov/regulations/2371.html. This intern will be expected to improve the division's annual report within agency publication standards for narrative, photographic and statistical presentation. Other responsibilities may include updating division pamphlets, websites, posters and other forms of communication.Work Schedule: Work hours are expected to be 20 hours per week. An 8-hour work day on Monday is preferred but other workday/work hours are flexible within the agency Monday-Friday work week and 7:30 AM to 6 PM work hours.
Candidate must have had articles or stories published and some training and/or experience with editing and publishing written report or newspaper.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates enrolled in the field of communications, environmental science, public relations or education with experience at published articles or stories. Upper class or graduate students are preferred but experience will be a defining qualification.

Salary: Compensation is based on hours worked at a pay rate established by the current memorandum of understanding (MOU) between DEC and SUNY or other institution.
