Proposal Information

Description:

The student assistant will be assigned to the Remote Network Services unit within ITS which is responsible for IP Addressing and Naming Services that are critical to all aspects of New York State's network infrastructure including workstations, servers, applications, and Internet services. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

* Domain Name System (DNS) design, implementation, and support of UniteNY intitiative and Internet DNS hosting and resolution
* Migration and implementation of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) VoIP solution and maintenance and failover of the DHCP service
* DNS design implementation and support of NY.GOV.AD environment
* Maintenance and support of current Windows Active Directory DNS environments
* Migration and support of BIND DNS environment
* Maintenance and support of Windows Internet Name Service (WINS)
* Maintenance of IP database

A full time, Monday - Friday work schedule is anticipated, with work hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, to be discussed at the time of the interview.
