Proposal Information

Description:

Interns working with the Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) will work under the supervision of an attorney on tasks that may include reviewing and analyzing legislation and regulations; participating in the drafting of litigation documents; assisting in legal research on assigned matters for use in the preparation of correspondence and legal opinions; reviewing and maintaining litigation folders; participating in the writing and reviewing of contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFPs); assisting in compliance with Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests; and performing such other functions as required by the needs of the office. The position will be filled based upon availability and approval by the agency. Preference will be given to qualified students who have completed at least one year of study from an accredited law school. This would be an excellent placement for students interested in governmental regulation and function, business law, social services law, litigation, administrative law, public policy and open government law.
