Description:
Interns will be given a hands-on, interesting and substantive learning experience and will clerk for a Hearing Officer, assist in drafting decisions after a Fair Hearing, perform legal research, where required, and such other legal functions as dictated by the needs of the Office. The interns will receive training to be able to use the Fair Hearings Decision Management System (FHDMS) software to assist in the Office of Administrative Hearing's decision drafting process. Additionally, interns will observe Fair Hearings conducted by Hearing Officers and assist Hearing Officers or Supervising Hearing Officers with any legal research or other appropriate legal functions that may be required. Applicants should have completed a minimum of one year of law school by the start of the internship.
