Proposal Information

Description:

The internship at the Office of Mental Health (OMH), Community Budget and Financial Management (CBFM) Group will provide the selected applicant with unique exposure to the various functional activities of CBFM, which administers over $1.3 billion in Local Assistance funding for community mental health programs. The selected intern will have the opportunity to assist the Director and CBFM managers in completing high priority CBFM projects as well as numerous day-to-day work assignments.

Examples of prior intern assignments:
* Coordination of CBFM internal controls testing.
* Assist staff in verification of technical scores for Request For Proposal (RFP) process.
* Assist the Director and Assistant Director in drafting Draft Budget Highlights.
* Assist staff in preparing Divisional spending plan materials and Aid to Localities databook.
* Attend various internal and external meetings with CBFM managers.
* Analyze various budget actions and assist in implementation.
* Assist community providers with completion and submission of required cost report and claiming schedules (Consolidated Fiscal Report).
* Prepare reports for the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) and Division of Budget (DOB).
